Called to Common Mission Resources

While Saint Thomas Net Ministry still supports the principles of CCM we can no longer endorse full communion with the so-called Episcopal Church USA.  Central to church unity is agreement on the gospel.  Lutherans can only serve under bishops which are true bishops of the Gospel.  The bishops of the Episcopal Church have abandoned the clear teachings of Scripture for the precepts of man.  The Episcopal Church USA can no longer be considered a true Church of the Gospel.

Historic Episcopacy in the ELCA

This statement titled, "Historic Episcopacy in the ELCA," was developed in the "Ecumenical Lutheranism" meeting on LutherLink, an internet meeting. Both those who have supported "Called to Common Mission," the proposal to establish a relationship of full communion between the ELCA and The Episcopal Church, and those who have opposed the adoption of "Called to Common Mission," have contributed to the development of this statement. This draft of the statement is for information purposes; it has no standing at this time.
